Phone Case for LG Cookie (KP500/KP501)

This is a very simple phone case, crocheted in moss stitch.
I made it for the LG Cookie phone, which measures roughly 150 x 55 x 13mm, but it could be quite easily adapted for another phone or MP3 player.

Please note the pattern uses English (UK) crochet terms, which are different to American terms.
Ch = chain
Sl st = slip stitch
DC = double crochet

Materials:
Approx 50 yards Noro Kureyon Sock Yarn
3mm crochet hook
Stitch marker

Row 1: Ch 29, join into a ring with a sl st.

Row 2: Ch 1, DC into each ch, join with a sl st to beginning ch1.

Row 3: Ch 2 (place marker), DC into 2nd DC from hook, *ch 1, skip next DC, DC into next DC* repeat all the way around, do not join.

The rest of the case is worked in a spiral. Instead of joining each round with a sl st, simply continue working up into the next row.

Row 4 onwards: DC into the ch space below (where marker was placed) *ch 1, skip next DC, DC into next ch1 space* repeat around.

Continue in this way, using the stitch marker to keep track of row ends if you need to. I completed 29 rows.

Finishing: When desired length is reached, finish on a Dc, then sl st around 1 more row. Sew the seam at the bottom. Weave in yarn ends.

This case will stretch easily, so try it on your phone a few times while you make it, to ensure a good fit.

Moss stitch does not create harshly definied rows like double crochet does, so is easily worked in a spiral.
The gaps in the stitch prevent any worries about the phone overheating.
